Long Island’s Teresa’s Family Cleaning is one of the many companies offering big discounts on their services this year, but in the spirit of the season, and their history of philanthropy, this offer comes with a side of gratitude.

Teresa’s Family Cleaning is known for their continued donations to cancer based charities, but this year they’re making their “Black Friday” cleaning special an automatic donation to Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk, a non-profit organization that builds affordable homes and sells them to hardworking, low-income families. “It’s nice to be involved in something joyful,” says Teresa Ward, owner of Teresa’s Family Cleaning. “We’re helping to spread a little bit of cheer. We’re working together to create a new life for someone and helping them to start over, it’s a fantastic way to kick off the holiday season.”

The special being offered is two hours of cleaning for only $129.95 (regularly priced at $170) and of that cost, twenty-five dollars will go directly to Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk. The offer will only be available to purchase from 7 a.m. To 7 p.m. on Friday, November 26th, and will be the lowest price offered for the rest of the year. Teresa Ward is being honored by Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk with a Special Service award at their Friend’s Reception on November 30th at the Watermill Inn, Smithtown , NY. where she will also be presenting them with a check for the amount raised during the Black Friday Special.

Furniturestyle reports on how consumer spending will increase this Black Friday because people want to put their dollar to the best use they can and try to get the best deal on purchases.

According to a study by the National Retail Federation, 40.0 percent of shoppers say that sales or promotions is the largest factor when determining where to shop.

That number was even higher in a study by Deloitte LLP, which found that 73 percent of consumers said they would shop at stores that had the best value and 72 percent said they would shop at stores that had the lowest — far outpacing other factors such as location, quality of merchandise or customer service.
